DispensatorMysteriorum Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 Hi, friends! It seems a member of the FP or the Q12 recently (last ten years?) taught something along the lines of 'It is good to be consecrated. It is better to be consecrated and capable.' I don't know if I even have the right words, but the concept, as I recall it, was that the Lord wants not only willing, but able disciples. Does this ring a bell? I have scoured the internet looking for it, but have had no luck.
bOObOO Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 You can make up your own ideas, you know. Just think of something good.

What your thinking of is either from Richard L Evans (who died in 1971) or someone quoting him "It's good to be faithful, but it is better to be faithful and competent" The only reference I have of this is Bednar quoting him in a conversation in 2010 (http://broadcast.lds.org/elearning/hrd/LDSLeader/RESOURCES/Bednar_Script_no timecodes[1].pdf) 2
