rockpond Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) I know that most here are probably already away of this but just in case, I'd encourage you to click on over to LighttheWorld.org. I'm loving how the Church has continued to build on that beautiful theme. I think the text/email service reminders are going to be great. We're lucky enough to have the Giving Machines coming to Denver for a month and stakes here will be proving music to help draw attention to them. And I love that we have been instructed to keep the 22nd free of any other meetings so it can just be a "no stress" day that we invite people to come worship with us. I thought that maybe we could use this thread to share good experiences with our lighting of the world this Christmas season. Inspire each other to do more. I'm signed up for the daily reminders. Are you? Edited November 14, 2019 by rockpond 4
Rain Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I am, but am glad they put the calendar up. Sometimes, some of the suggestions are hard to do on specific days so it is nice to be able to plan ahead and know which to switch. This year there is a day to give blood. If you live in an area with a lot of members that may be a day when you plan ahead and switch days so there are not too many people overwhelming the blood banks on the same day. If you don't have a lot of members in your area and you work in one of these plaxes, that would be really cool to notice an increase of people come in.
LoudmouthMormon Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Yay - they've expanded their giving machine locations! That's such a cool idea for 1st world country residents with excess disposable income and a convenience-only mindset.

Have you ever tried to get a goat in a UPS box? 1

Have you ever tried to get a goat in a UPS box? Even getting goat meat is not always easy. You can buy it here in the Phoenix area, but not at many stores. The process for getting a live one in those countries is not easy I imagine.
