I believe so but I'm having a hard time putting some Scripture together on it. I seem to failing at my word searches or I'm searching in the wrong place. I'd appreciate some help with this.

I'll look for references also and see what I can find because I too have always believed his suffering level of the atonement where he bled from every pore included suffering for our infirmities so he would "know how to succor" us... I wonder if some previous conference talks, as well as scriptures etc might address this... GG 1

"When the even was come, they brought unto him (Christ) many that were possessed with devils; and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick; That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying "Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." And, Alma 7:11 - 12 "And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities." The "Topical Guide" can help you find more if you want (under sickness, infirmity, health, disease. succor etc etc). GG edit to add...
