That's a good question.

My state of "relative" understanding of the Godhead coalesces from all that I have read in the scriptures and other writings of prophets and all that I have heard said in general conferences by prophets. In other words, there is no one source I could point to.  

It's just that when I read that which @Josh516 wrote it resonated with me.  I'm sure that my understanding, such as it is, is dwarfed by the reality of the Godhead -- which is something that I am sure we cannot fully understand while in mortality.  And when our understandings are finally enlarged fully, we'll be tempted to laugh at how piddling our understanding had been before.

I think I see now. Your initial comment about not needing Brigham Young’s words was not a dismissal of ANY written support from prophets about the nature of God, but simply a statement that you already have enough evidence from other prophets (including scripture) that have helped you shape your beliefs.  Do I understand correctly?
