Thanks We have a quite a few, on is my neighbor who joined last year. I would be disappointed if he read or viewed this hoax. I live near Atlanta, GA, where there are 1,000's throughout the State, and its Stakes.

More to the point how many black members follow closely religious twitter or Facebook and even saw much of this. I think there's a certain small group that tends to think they are representative of a much larger group. I'm skeptical most black Mormons heard much about this until the press started weighing in and perhaps not even then since most live outside of Utah I'd bet. Also note the hoax happened early in the morning. Most people are at work. I saw the hoax as I was getting ready for work and didn't realize it wasn't a hoax until much later in the day. I'm sure I'm not the only one busy and work and not checking Twitter. That's not to overlook those who were upset on the issue. Just to suggest those so closely tied to twitter and/or facebook may not be as large a number as some assume. Edited May 18, 2018 by clarkgoble
