How could that possibly be justified? Sadly, it's true Somebody ratted me out!!!!! I don't know what the Bishop was thinking TBH. I remember the Missionaries came over for dinner and they and my Mum were like, if you're going to a dance don't eat that much you don't want to get a stomach ache. Well, I wore a sweater for some unknown reason and it was hot and the next thing I knew I was down on the floor. My friend helped me up and I was out of it but someone must have saw me and told the Bishop. After sacrament meeting he called me into his office and he asked me what happened on friday and I told him I passed out and he then said it doesn't look good for a priest to do that and then bless sacrament on sunday and I tried to explain but his mind was made up. Funnily enough when I was 14 I was taking down the sacrament and no other man was helping and so my older sister was helping me out well, one brother came over and started to give her huck about it an my older sister is a person that if you can give it you better sure as heck can take it and he gave it to her and she gave it right back. I don't recall the Bishop ever talking to her, probably knowing she would throw her shoes at him until he reneged 2

The "passing out on Friday and blessing on Sunday" sounds identical to commentary about drinking I have heard. Even if he said he took your word you didn't do anything wrong, bet he thought you were lying. he didn't say but maybe he assumed I was on something and then lying to cover it up, which wasn't even remotely the case-what got me too was who on God's green earth told him? like there were maybe 6 of us from our ward there and did anything do it? and why would he believe them vs. me? was I not trustworthy?

I don't know if my Mom said anything to the Bishop but she told me the whole thing was stupid, she and the Elders were the ones that told me not to eat a lot prior to the dance, so she believed me! 1

You were a male teen....some assume that means you were much more likely to be rebellious against authority than not (prone to breaking WoW, lying to avoid punishment or just for the fun of it). If they weren't medically knowledgeable, they may think there is no reason for low blood sugar to cause an otherwise healthy young person to pass out. 2

I don't like conflict, that is for sure...but am fine with different opinions in most cases. I have never seen much benefit in assuming maliciousness or less desirable qualities without a lot of evidence (it may take months or even years to convince me someone is a troll, for example, but I can be convinced) as such interpretations generally set up barriers to opportunities out of a desire to protect ourselves and it really interferes with clear communication from what I have seen. Plus while I know some people enjoy the adrenaline rush of anger which includes self righteous or even righteous indignation (I certainly can get a ton of cleaning done when in warrior mode), the end result for me when the high wears off is nausea so I don't see much benefit in assuming the worse.
