Mars Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 a lot of people show up thinking they've got something new, so we limit new thread starting abilities to 25 posts. the idea is that someone can get the hang of things around here before starting topics. lots of websites have similar restrictions. stackoverflow.com is an amazing and high quality content website and it has very stringent restrictions on newcomers.

I have tried several times to answer questions or ask good ones but BOTH are almost always better done by someone else other than me. I have no presence to speak of there. I can PM you my github, tho. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of StackOverflow. I more into asking questions there, or finding answers to questions that have already been answered. And I've answered a few, too. SO helped me a great deal over the years, especially when I was running into arcane little problems that nobody else in the shop knew anything about.
