thesometimesaint Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Even the NT has its problems. The NT section of the Bible has Jesus claiming four corners of the earth. So either mortals wrote it down wrong or Jesus was wrong. I tend to go with we mortals wrote it down wrong.

All scripture is the result of human efforts to understand the divine, and so scripture comes through human consciousness. Human consciousness is far from perfect.

You mean to tell me that you have never been to the four corners area ? Hint: it's in the West.

Knowing that, what in my statement is false? Your assumption that tens of thousands of copies and fragments of the biblical text is a bad thing for Biblical scholars, it is an "embarrassment of riches" according to Dr.Wallace.........did you watch the video? Sorry I know it is kind of long but your assumptions are simply wrong.

That's not to say they weren't trying their hardest and with the best intentions, cause vast vast majority were, but men are inherently imperfect. *Bumping for responce* 1

Even they included words and sentences not in the fragments.

You clearly didn't watch the video either, Dr.Wallace goes into great detail about your "none of those copies and fragments agree" assumptions.

Sorry I know it is kind of long but your assumptions are simply wrong. Just because I haven't watched an hour long show by Dr. Wallace doesn't mean that I haven't done my research. There is a lot of research in this field. Is there a transcript or something of the video. I don't ever watch videos like that, i've got four kids (two preschoolers) and me being able to sit down for an hour and watch a scholarly video and actually hear and pay attention isn't going to happen. 2
