Her father was a Bishop who was released recently because of his cancer. http://familymann.org/amos/2017/09/07/death-has-no-victory/ A family member is in my ward and it has been a sad blog to read as his health declined. Prayers for her and her family.

I wouldn't necessarily blame her if she weren't to continue, but perhaps she can, in a small way, make a silk purse out of the sow's ear of her father's passing by performing in his honor and in his memory. (Personally, I'm a sucker for stories of triumph amid tragedy. ) 1

Daniel2 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I was so sad to read this last Thursday. Her performance last week was wonderful, and although her father wasn't present, I don't think it was clear at all that he was truly in his final days. Wishing all the best to Evie and her family during what is surely a challenging time.

mnn727 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I am sorry for their loss, having gone through 3 close deaths in the last 2 months (2 family members and my HT companion) I know how it feels From reading the article and seeing the pictures -- All those machines -- that's not life. Thankfully they let him go. I've already told my wife, if the doctors say there's no hope and machines are the only thing keeping my body alive, to get me a Priesthood blessing, and shut the machines down. I'll happily leave it in Gods hands at that point.
