To be clear, no one needs to be a member of the Church to do those things for their family, and as life experience has shown, most people who do the stuff you mention aren't members of the Church.

how exactly is this relevant?

does the fact that someone else could have helped nonmember family members of mine with food or child care service negate the fact that it was the church and its members that actually did it? Did anyone claim other people and institutions can't have any influence on others?

does the fact that anyone could help my mother in law move change the fact that it was the missionaries helping us that day?

and who else can give priesthood blessings?

You seemed to suggest the Church has more influence because members help others.  How is members helping others the Church's influence if everyone on earth helps others?

So, with an overall Utah population of 2,996,000, we have 1  million attending LDS Sacrament Meeting on any given Sunday, while 850,000 Mormons don't bother to attend, and 850,000 non-members also don't attend?  Where is the leftover ca. 300,000?  Who might they be?  How does that compare with activity rates in other states and other religions?  And, how does this look if we graph it for the past 100 years?

https://www.google.com/#q=population+of+utah .

In Calif sacrament attendance runs about 40%

We'd love 55%!
