I wasn't planning to read the book by Bart Ehrman because he doesn't speak for the LDS Church.
I prefer to read literature published by the LDS Church (in books/magazines,GC talks) when it
comes to theology.

Thanks,
Jim

You said, "Of course even the early Christians believed that Jesus was not always God".

While they may have believed that, their belief is wrong.

My reference to the book was simply for you to understand that your own belief that Jesus was always God evolved over many years and the earliest Christians DID NOT believe it.  Nor likely did Jesus teach this abot himself.   If you are not interested in exploring and challenging your own dogma that is fine.  I found the book fascinating.

God has always been God (Psalms. 41:13; 90:2; 93:2; Isaiah 43:10).
