I am having trouble at work with a woman I work with.  It is so bad that I often cry before I go to work.  I am going to give this a try Rain...thank you.

I have been angry with a woman for a couple of months now.  This last week that anger increased. I've heard talks on forgiveness last week etc and knew I needed to forgive her, but I just wanted to hang on to it.

This week I am subbing in gospel doctrine.  In it it talks about Moroni not being blood thirsty, the people being reluctant to cause death, that Moroni asks for the enemies to covenant not to fight and then he will let them go rather than just killing them off.  And I knew that I needed to forgive my "enemy".

So this morning I have thought about JS not being able to do something because of a quarrel he had with Emma. I realized that if I wanted to have the Spirit with me in this lesson the time was now.  So I prayed to Heavenly Father to help me forgive her, help me to just want to forgive her.  As I did things came to mind that showed me that I was seeing her wrong in some ways.

I just became the wolf den leader.  I went to the church this morning to attend key scouters and I couldn't find anyone. I wandered the hallways trying to find those I knew who were in there.  Then I saw the woman I held hard feelings for.  We talked and she cleared up some things. We had a good talk and while I still worry I feel better about her now.  More like an ally than an enemy.

When I separated from her I went to find the meeting that I was now late for.  In the hall everyone was gathered, the meeting over.  Somehow I had got in my head that I was supposed to attend, but that isn't the case.

But this morning the Lord knew I needed to "attend". The Lord knew I needed to see her.

I love the tender mercies.  They may not solve our big problems, but they help us to get balance in our lives so we can manage to survive the major struggles that may have no real resolutions besides trusting the Lord (I believe, Lord; help thou my unbelief).

Amazing story! :) Thank you so much for sharing.

Last year I made my standard the communal prayer of the temple. I figured that if I had to withdraw for whatever reason that the healing and forgiveness had to come from me. Soooo, I make it a point to consider who in my life I have hard feelings towards when I attend the temple, and then put their name on the rolls until those feelings of animosity are gone.

It's been relieving and relaxing. Tension and enmity are exhausting in my experience.

Don't misunderstand me, there are people in my life with whom I require space and distance. Previously it was due to hurt and anger, whereas now I figure it's probably just better for the emotional, spiritual and mental health of all involved that we have space. Even while close friendship is probably not possible under mortal circumstances, I can honestly say that I bear no ill will towards them, and only wish them the best. Currently, I believe that be all that the Lord expects of us.

Thank you again.
