forbidden 403

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Sometimes when I use my work laptop and attempt to get to the MDDB website,  I receive a webpage that says Forbidden 403. However, at other times, I do access the site. Why do I keep getting a forbidden 403 and does anyone else have this problem. I am hoping that it can be fixed by the board administration.

Thank you for your future comments.

You probably already googled this already, but the most common cause is your own firewalls. There are certain websites I could not access because of my antivirous software so I had to contact my provider and they corrected it for me. You may also want to try clearing your cookies, or perhaps your cache memory. It is a html status code.

While it has never happened to me, I understand that the new software update for the board included a program that randomly does a review of past posts by a member trying to log in and if they have reach a certain number of bad posts (402) it forbids them to make #403.

I don't think that I made too many bad responses. :shok: I think that it is a glitch that happened with the board update. Maybe it can be fixed by the administration. It is rather strange because when my work laptop is connected to my office, no problem. It is only when I take the laptop home that the problem can occur.
