No, I'm talking about recording reliable history.

I'm not sure I'd like to be "saved" like that. It sounds like a euphemism for something a lot worse.

"And should we die before our journey's through, happy days, all is right. We then are free from toil and sorrow too. With the just we shall dwell."

Dying early probably isn't the goal for most us. Sounds a bit extreme.

It is not a goal but would not mind either.

I think you're an outlier on that issue. Are you a big fan of Bauhaus or Sisters of Mercy?

For myself, I wouldn't mind, but it would be hard on my husband and daughter and the rest of the family.

Though I must admit while I don't have the least problem with death and would happily accept it as any time (for myself), the whole dying side of it is not something I look forward to.  I am really hoping I die in my sleep way before my mental processes turn me into a pumpkin.

Trials and sacrifices come whether we choose them or not. If we are asked by the Lord to make sacrifices and do so willingly we will be blessed. If we refuse don't think the trials won't come anyway but the blessing may not be as great. If you have been fortunate to escape trials so far don't count on it forever.
