Are there any scripture stories you don't believe are real?

Not really a  clever question like you think it is. I can easily prove my mother loves me or at least she did when she was alive. She feed me, she clothed me. She held me tight as a child when I was hurt. She worried about me and stayed up late to greet me when I was out late as a teenager. These things are tangible evidence of what we define as love. She was there. I could touch here. I could her her voice when ever I needed it. By all rational observations my mother loved me.

Not to take any sort of sides here, but while you have ample proof that your mother loves you, you cannot prove that to me.

The same is true with spiritual experiences.  I've had experiences that have taught me the I have a Savior and a loving Father in Heaven.  But I cannot in any way use those experiences to prove anything to you.

Imagine how a prophet must feel when, having been called to speak for the Lord, people discount the message.

Here's one that's a little hard to believe.  According to the following scriptures placing striped sticks in view of mating animals results in striped offspring.

35 And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

36 And he set three days’ journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flocks.

37 ¶And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

38 And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.
