The thread is "off topic" because you sent it that direction with the OP. Did you even read the link from the OP and what it was about? It was about the effects and strength of families whose parents are married and stay married throughout their lives. The paper I linked to didnt even discuss gay marriage. It was about traditional marriage (one man, one wife legally and lawfully married) who remain committed and worship also together. It spoke a lot about single parents, divorced parents, etc, and its negative effects on the family. My point in the OP was to establish a dialogue on the importance of traditional marriage (you know- the kind where the man and woman commit to each other for life) and how that bond is important for the overall welfare of a nation.
