Tender Mercies

I was at the Preston Temple with our Branch Youth on Saturday & we were fortunate to piggy back onto the baptistry session of Kirkcaldy.

Among their number was a deaf lady, and we were able to watch as the words were signed to her for as she performed each baptism.

Love that.

I went to a session at Jordan River once where they had a TV with someone doing ASL. It was enriching for me because I paid more attention to what was said.

Early during my experience in the MTC during a Sacrament meeting, in our MTC branch, we all bowed our heads to pray for the blessing of the sacrament, but it remained silent for too long. So I looked up to see what was causing the delay, only to see that the prayer was being conducted silently in sign language. It was a very touching experience.
