VideoGameJunkie Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I can't overstate how wonderful and important putting names of those who need blessings on the temple prayer roll is. When my name has been on the prayer roll, when someone else put it there, my life has been improved with blessings. I encourage all those that are endowed to fill out a card with names of people you feel could use the support of temple prayer when you pass the box. One time I had the inclination to put names of those people who have wronged me in my life, and for some reason I had compassion for them and desired them to have blessings. The temple prayer roll is a wonderful thing. You can even call the temple to get names put on. Please do this and believe in the prayers and how they will help. 3
BookofMormonLuvr Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Even though I am no longer of the LDS Branch of the Restoration, I appreciate when my Mom puts my "name in the Temple" when something comes up in my life. Having a couple hundred thousand "Mormon" praying for you can't hurt. 2
VideoGameJunkie Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 BookofMormonLuvr, that's wonderful of your mom to do so for you. Know that she loves you and the members praying for you in the temple love you too and have good feelings in the circle. Even if you left the church, never give up hope on the temple prayer roll and it's power.

You are beginning to realize the power of The Force. 1

VideoGameJunkie Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 You know the ways of the force. You have much to teach me. I yearn to learn the ways.
JLHPROF Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 My father once had a Catholic nun look him up and down when she found out he was a "Mormon" and promise to pray for his eternal soul. He thanked her completely for her concern and her prayers on his behalf. 1
VideoGameJunkie Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 JLHPROF, that's great. I often ask friends of mine who are of different religions to pray for me or my loved ones in need sometimes and they are always willing to pray for people of other faiths.
Ahab Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 It is pretty wonderful that we can ask God to do things for us that he will do, isn't it. If only all other people would do what I ask them to do.
Maidservant Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I agree totally @ VideoGameJunkie. Just went to the temple yesterday after a long spell without previously. And one of the things in my heart was getting to write for the prayer roll, and also in the praying part of the temple was where I felt the most spirit and emotion yesterday and also maybe a little bit of revelation of the symbolism there. 1
VideoGameJunkie Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Maidservant that's awesome! I know the people who you wrote down will be blessed!
