Mothers of all Palestinians must be killed: Israeli MP

Israeli lawmaker Ayelet Shaked

Wed Jul 16, 2014 3:41PM GMT

Ayelet Shaked of the ultra-nationalist Jewish Home party called for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to "little snakes."

"They have to die and their houses should be demolished so that they cannot bear any more terrorists," Shaked said, adding, "They are all our enemies and their blood should be on our hands. This also applies to the mothers of the dead terrorists.”

The remarks are considered as a call for genocide as she declared that all Palestinians are Israel's enemies and must be killed.

On Monday (July 7) Shaked quoted this on her Facebook page:

"Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there."

The development comes as many officials from various countries have slammed Israel's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The Turkish prime minister is the latest to condemn the offensive, accusing Israel of massacring the Palestinians.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has lashed out at Israel, saying it is committing state terrorism against the Palestinians in the region. Speaking in parliament, he also questioned the world’s silence toward Tel Aviv’s ongoing atrocities.

Reacting to Shaked's remarks, the Turkish premier said Israel's policy in Gaza is no different than Hitler's mentality.

"An Israeli woman said Palestinian mothers should be killed, too. And she's a member of the Israeli parliament. What is the difference between this mentality and Hitler's?" Erdogan asked.

The developments come as the UN agency for Palestinian refugees has recently said women and children make up a sizeable number of Palestinian fatalities caused by Israeli attacks on the besieged region.

Ayelet Shaked represents the far-right Jewish Home party in the Knesset.

Jews are bad and must be killed?

Yeah, I gathered that.

You would only think the Jews were wrong if you don't think Israel has a right to defend it's self.  Even Bill Maher thinks they have that right.

Well, who'd a thought, Bill Maher wrong about something.

I also wonder what the point is.

Of course the sentiments are repulsive but I suggest you move to Israel and live under weeks of missile attacks in the hundreds per day.  See then if you might not be more receptive to these sentiments, as repulsive as they are to you today.

There's obviously no way to justify her remarks.  Whether a person agrees with Israel or Palestine, what she is suggesting is horrible and evil.  It is ironic that a Jewish person would even go there, but you can't always fix stupid.

And you never know what the constant barrage of rocket attacks can do to the human mind.

I have no idea if the OP broke the godwin's rule when he mentioned Hitler, so i'm going to try to tread carefully here.  It has to be said though that these same excuses were actually used by Germans and people who supported the Germans when Hitler rose to power and then did what he did with that power.

Some things are never justifiable and should never be given an inch of consideration, regardless of what a group is suffering through.

Seems an approximation of this, from Golda Meir:

We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.

Like i said, that's not an excuse.  It wasn't an excuse for Germany and it will never be an excuse for anyone else either.

Sticks 'n' stones

Watch what they do, not what's reported about what they say.

Then do the same with Hamas and the PO . . .

I will give you that her remarks are stupid. But that is not the point of the OP. Were did the OP link to what Hamas has said of the Jews? Oh yeah he completely ignored those.

See, this lady is not acting on her stupidity. But Hamas is. That is the biggest difference.

Does Israel have a right to defend her self?

Around here people get killed for cutting someone off on the freeway.

What does it matter what anyone else has said?  When one of my kid's get's in trouble for saying something mean to his brother, and he replies, "but he said this first" I never say 'oh, well then it's o.k.'

Because every parent knows it's not o.k. and we try to teach our kids that.

And yes, if this Jewish woman doesn't realize that she is essentially arguing the same thing that Hitler argued in regards to the Jews, then she is very very stupid.

Like most of the world did with Hitler before he put action behind his words?

Words do cause harm-no adult should be confused about that.  A lot of evil actions began with words alone.

I am sure you are aware of what is going in in the middle east?

See there is more than just "he said it first" BB. This lady is not firing rockets into Palestine just to kill people, in fact she is not firing any rockets. Like I said her remarks are stupid. But you might understand them if you lived in Israel and had a life of Hamas firing rockets at your house.

Hamas' motto is to essentially destroy the Jews, because they are the root of the problems of the world.

What do you suppose the point of this thread was? To bring to light this persons dumb comments? Or do you suppose something else is going on?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas

Hamas will never recognize the "usurper Zionist government" and will continue "jihad-like movement until the liberation of Jerusalem".[65]

I never said it was an excuse.  I said one could understand how such can affect ones mental state.  PTSS anyone.

No, you're confused. The extermination of the Jewish people is exactly what the German National Socialist Party of the 1930's and 40's said. The article I quoted said nothing about the extermination of anyone, except Palestinian mothers.

Please re-read the article, in its entirety, and try not to confuse my criticism of an Israeli mp as having anything to do with calling any people, neither Jew nor Palestinian as "bad and must be killed".

If idiocy cannot be criticized, where does that leave us?

I've never been in a war or under attack. Have you?

My lack of such experience doesn't disqualify me from recognizing idiocy, such as the blatantly hateful comments of Ayelet Shaked, when I see it.

It can, do you equally criticize Hamas? Or is this just a one way road? BTW Hamas is acting on what they said. So far as I can tell this nutty lady hasn't.
