How about a way to return all the posts by one poster, including oneself, in a particular thread? Perhaps a little button by each poster's name and/or a drop down list of all contributors in a thread and selection would generate a 'sub-thread' or pop up of posts in ascending order of date/time.  Could make navigating conversations in longer threads easier and I think it would help in terms of being referential, consistent, and not repetitive.
