I like Cinepro's sardonic style. I find his parodies are good at breaking out "the elephants in the room" that people forget about. 1

Hmmm, let's see....time travel, teleportation, fruits the size of basketballs that heal anyone of any disease who eats them, people living in caves in the center of the earth who can carve masterpieces out of wood by simply commanding the wood to obey....shall I go on?It's a terrific LDS fantasy novel, nobody will deny that. But many of the things taught in the book have never been revealed to the world through any of the prophets that ever lived. If these things are true, they certainly won't be revealed to us through "Spencer".

If the book had been written 100 years ago, he could have mentioned an idea called tele-communications, that we could speak to another person instantaneously on the other side of the world. And it would be revealed to us by a guy named Jack and a Russian.

Cinepro's comments often cause me to reconsider how I'm explaining what I believe. It's easy to forget how your culture, jargon, and beliefs appear to others. I think effective satire keeps a community grounded. 1
