Calm Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 So my husband just got headhunted (modern style) from New Zealand. My heart is breaking because the timing is off, I have to stay here for my parents....otherwise I could so see being down there for 5 to 10 years if we could manage son's family coming out for a month to stay each year like we used to do with my grandparents. So anyone who knows anything, what is Palmerston North like? Beautiful mountains and beaches both with a few hours or less (my dream location has both preferably as views out different sides of my home) as it looks like on googlemaps?
thesometimesaint Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 A long long time ago in a state far far away I learned everything I could about New Zealand. Even seriously considered immigrating there. Parents asked us to move closer to them, and to stay, so we did. Glad we did, so our kids got to see more of their grandparents.

I hope I am not out of line, but being together is more important than anything.
Tacenda Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I hope that you'll get to visit often and hopefully your husband's boss will pay for it! Do you have siblings that might help with your parents? I hear New Zealand has awesome fishing, that's all I know. Sad huh?

Calm Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Do you have siblings that might help with your parents? They are not in the right position to do so....the one that could and would is in Singapore.
