The later comments might not though, so if you want to watch it first, go away and come back when you have It's rated PG-13 for themes, but no sex/language/violence. 'Parents guide is here.'Firstly, if any of you are still feeling the effects of the 1960s LSD movement, there's a 10 minute sequence you'll love! Zany!Artistically it was brilliant. A little too jumpy in the story for my liking. The key theme, for me, was "God, where art thou?" The scenes of the immense space and our infinitesimally small part in it made me consider how vast the universe is and, potentially how insignificant we are in the face of creation. But at the same time how the belief in God helps to make sense of the huge questions in life.I also appreciated the contrast, from the Parents, between Grace and Nature (as in living by grace/with grace compared to living by natural instincts).What did you make of the ending? I'll not discuss it directly in this comment for any who've not seen it.Overall I'd give it a 7/10. But at the same time I can see why some film critics have raved about it (some even said it was in their top-10 of best films ever made).

The battle to both overcome and reconcile with the Natural Man. The film is one extended meditation. I find it fascinating, and extremely beautiful.The Creation Sequences in response to the question, "Where are you? Why are we here?" is ... stunning. And a beautiful and profound answer. I am thinking it is not something I could guarantee that anyone else in the family would like and I rarely do movies these days...can't sit still long enough to get through it, but since I never ask to get a movie, I don't think anyone would mind getting one just for me.

The creation sequence alone is worth watching on a HDTV if you have one. Certainly one to get on Bluray disk (again, if you have one).

So I watched it alone. Heh. It's style is definitely not for everyone. My praise and enjoying of the film is not intended to be a suggestion that everyone who sees it will enjoy it. It is very light on plot, and very, very, very heavy in symbols and tone.

I got a little distracted and started checking MDDB on my phone. But it's worth watching.There was a bit of a 'what the heck!' moment with the dinosaurs though. I hadn't seen that coming.
