Unless clothing has much changed in the 15ish years since we've been there, I would agree with you.

That and the grass is in really good condition from what I remember which was usually patchy, the government not having the money to spend of it.

There were always signs in English as any demonstration I saw.

However, the sign "dare to do right, etc." is from a Primary song and has nothing to do with the issue as well as the mass resignation.

Steniakina is a perfect example of the kind of nonsense that Yedinaya Rossiya is busily engaged in. So far though we haven't had to face the kind of harassment that the Jewish communities put up with from the Young Guards and allied groups.

Specifically, she's agitating to add language that would ban "the West [from converting] our citizens into non-traditional religions" ie anything other than Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Buddhism.

I wonder what this will mean for indigenous Russian pagan religions as well.

I've met several. Some are horribly fascist, and get along reasonably well with the government. Others aren't tolerated much at all.

The picture is clearly not connected with the article. I think the content of the article is credible, and troubling.

One needs to read Russian sources. She is a concern to many of the Russian bloggers (who are quite outspoken proponents of political, cultural, and religious plurality), who suggest that her youthfulness, energy, and ambition render her particularly suitable as a high-flier for the leading government party. Add to this her being from a particularly volatile region- she is from one of the cities in which I served a mission- which is no stranger to race and religious riots and worse, and one has a recipe for trouble. This is a big deal, thouhg hopefully not one that'll explode soon.
