Calm Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 The LDS by pushing its members out of their comfort zones mean we have to take responsiblity and develop skills we might otherwise not do. Quoted again for truth. 1

Stargazer Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 And, I believe, a parish priest is completely dependent on the Church to take care of him not only when he is functioning as a priest, but when he retires. He has to trust he will be taken care of because when he is ordained he turns all his personal possessions over to the Church. Is this correct? You mistake priests for monks. A monk may be a priest, or not. A priest may be a monk, or not.Monks generally take vows of poverty; I don't think that priests do.
