Well than you have a God who talks to himself, carries on conversations with himself as well as occupies two locations in space simultaneously.

Which still makes no sense.

I don't mean this disrespectfully, however...

Have you ever talked to yourself? I find myself talking to myself a lot before, during and after writing these posts.

By your belief system, you can be a god someday...and I bet that you talk to yourself from time to time. :P

Peace be with you.

God is one...but not solitary.

One: Characterized by unity; undivided

**

Solitary: Existing, living, or going without others or Single and set apart from others

God cannot be one and not solitary at the same time. It contradictory!!!

It is contradictory to believe that God is eternal yet a man that attained Godhood.

I started to type a response to this explaining the Latter-day Saint position than I realized that you are committing a logical fallacy.

Obviously not. But than people know I am talking to myself. Did Jesus knowingly deceive us by making it seem there was something else out there he was talking to. As well as throwing his voice to make it seem more convincing?

Have "spark" of divine nature.

Can you totally become the divine nature?

What did Joseph Smith mean when he taught that men can become God?

Did Jesus knowingly deceive us by telling us the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church. Then a few years later it did?

Johnny you know, please don't play games !. You have been through this Dozens of times before with us. Colossians 2:8.

BD, I think the Greek on that is not in agreement with your view. Perhaps someone can post what is being said in the Greek Text.

What I believe is irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

For example:

Person 1: You stole something, that

Oops, another fallacy of issue avoidance.

Answer the question.

We've told you that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are distinct persons. So no, obviously not.

How can wanting to know what Joseph Smith meant when he taught that "men can become God" be playing games ... this is apologetics?

Col 2:8 is speaking of carnal matters ... I am asking you about spiritual matters?

Alexander,

I know you believe firmly that there are possibly millions of gods out there. I understand yet disagree.

Scripture tells us over and over and over that there is one God. Even the BoM makes that claim in a number of places, yet you dismiss it. JS had an evolving concept of God (Godhead)...I know you don't want to admit it, but it is true. History does back that up.

Only one.

Only one.

Only one.

Jesus told us that he was God. Not a God. God sent us the Holy Spirit. We see three persons in one God. Don't keep trying to logically reason out the Trinity. FAITH...it's all about FAITH. Jesus told us that he was God. Jesus told us that there is but ONE GOD. Have FAITH in what the Savior tells us. You don't have to logically rationalize it. Is your FAITH in Christ or Joseph Smith? I know you hate to have that question posed...but who is your Savior? God is more than YOU. God is more than ME. Always has been!! Always will be!! Don't try to bring God down to our level.

Most people have a hard enough time trying to figure out their spouse, good luck with a "definition" of the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

Peace be with you.
