sjdawg Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 On another thread a poster made mention of Joseph Smith's death as evidence of his belief in the truth of what his was doing. I disagree with this as evidence but would like to get other's thoughts. To me Joseph's Smiths death is one of the worst reasons to believe anything about Joseph Smith or Mormonism. If you think facts line up on the side of mormonism, that is great. But Joseph Smith's death is no indicator of truth or even his belief in something.David Koresh gave his life. It does nothing to convince me that David Koresh believed in his own calling as a prophet specifically or the truth of the anything taught by the Branch Davidians in general. 1

I could die prematurely and on my death bed surrounded by family and friends with balloons and cake and I say that I firmly believe and hold as true that I saw Ringo Starr sitting in the bleachers at the Circus when I was a kid but whether or not that actually happened is up for debate and may not be actually true, so I agree with bluebell and sjdawg
