However, now that you mention it, one might very well have Smithmas at Midnight between Dec 22 & 23 so as to include both the Winter Solstice and Joseph's Birthday. That way one could bring Wiccans, Druids, and other pagans into the fold, just as Dec 25 was used by 4th century Christianity to make the pagan Yuletide legitimate.
