A Fun Survey

Ok, so Nemesis gave me permission to post this.

Basically, it's a political spectrum quiz, which tells you to some degree of accuracy where you are on the political spectrum.

Now the rule about this thread, is that, there should be NO political wrangling. This is solely for fun. Keep it light and of good spirit in here =).

Remember to post your results. Feel free to comment on the accuracy and whatnot, as long as it stays away from political wrangling =D.

For posting your results, simply select each graph image, copy it, and paste it into the reply box on this forum.

EDIT: Oh also, if enough people do this, I'll merge everyone's graphs so we can see the general layout of the forum on the spectrum. Which I think would be pretty cool =).

Ok... so I thought the quiz was somewhat accurate... although I'd put myself a tiny bit more right (but it probably wouldn't cross the center mark. I also think I am a bit more to the right on culture war, but it did a pretty good job, I've got to say =).

The first two are about right. I only support intervening outside our borders in self defense or in defense of our allies or a weak group against a strong attacker (eg. we would have been justified to protect the Kurds against Saddam Hussein). I want government to only take care of those few tasks that must be delegated to it (eg. legitimate military activity and law enforcement).

The last one is a little skewed because I am fairly conservative on what I consider to be ethical behavior, but in many cases I don't think the state has the right to enforce said behavior. (eg. I believe that recreational marijuana use is unethical and foolish, but it is none of the state's business if the user is an adult.)

Hehe, I'm not sure what I am, I am all over the board. I am sorta moderate on most things, but on the things I'm not moderate on... I tend to be more conservative on. And yet it shows me more to the left. So I guess it is a mixed bag XD.

There are lots of people that are involved in organized religion that have no spiritual compass. There are lots of people that consider themselves spiritual, that not believe in organized religion. Not saying either one is correct though.

My reading may be more authoritarian than it really is because when it asked about whether morality should have anything to do with laws or whatever it was, I didn't take it to mean stuff like chastity but any moral behaviour and this is what all laws are based on (deciding what is right or wrong is a moral decision).

I may take it again to compare the difference using the standard I think they are talking about.

Switching the morality responses to chastity issues only, it raised my libertarian and right to 2.43 and 2.83....so less government intervention means more right and libertarian it would seem even though it probably does not reflect the moral values that are often seen as belonging to the right (antiabortion, etc). That would be included in the culture war perhaps?

I see myself as a Pragmatic Libertarian as I'd like the government to do more...much more actually, but think it is too inefficient and ineffective compared to the private sector in most areas.
