Duncan Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 on occasion I see people with their scriptures and on the sides of those scriptures they have these colored stickers, it seems all the reds are in a row, yellow, green, blue, etc. What are they for? I just have the tabs that came with mine and I didn't add any colored thingamahooples on the sides, anyone know what they are for?
Messenger Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 The colors represent a grouping of scriptures that are similar in subject. At least thats how I used them. On my mission I grouped them by discussion. But you can group similar topics in multiple ways. Its something they teach in the MTC, and also religion classes at BYU,
The Nehor Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 There goes my theory that it is just a way to make it look like you read them more. 3
Messenger Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Nehor,Ya, I wouldnt put much into that particular theory, since you actually have to open up the scriptures for someone else to see the colored stickers.

I don't usually see the standard scriptures when I attend the LDS church, most everyone I see has them on their Iphones or they're playing with a bunch of apps and games!
