Sorry I am not a scholar in the book of Islam Koran or BOM but I do better with the bible!

Doh. We are talking about the Divine Counsel as found in the bible. I suggest that you stop acting like you know what your talking about. Why don't you just do a search in this board for Divine Counsel and read up. Once you do that then we can talk. Until you do that this is a total waste of time.

How many of Heavenly Father's children live on Mars or Jupiter?

Brilliant, brilliant, brillant.

I wonder if he will get that??

First things first. I would like for you to explain the contradiction in my original post and then we can talk about Gen. 1:26.

There is none that is the point. Gen 1:26 backs up the LDS position. That is that the "Us" denotes more than one. So the Gods go down and create the world and man. Also if God is a man you run into a problem with Eve she being a woman and yet Eve is created in the image of God. Does your theology have a solution to that problem?

I understand the bible better and rely on the Holy Spirit for perfect truth!

How do you know when the Holy Spirit has given you the truth? What do you do to seek the truth from the Holy Spirit?

I would rather prefer the one I am debating speak for themselves. Thanks.

You need to double check the board guidelines/rules. This isn't a board for debating but discussion.

No, you don't.

Your knowledge of the Bible is sadly lacking. You interpret the Bible, we acknowledge, but your interpretations are eisegesis, not exegesis: you use proof texts, reject any passages that contradict your positions, and deny that anyone but you has any insight into the meaning the original writer was trying to present.

You do not do any better with the Bible than you do with the Book of Mormon and the Koran.

Do you say that just because i don't agree with your mormon philosophy??

Whether Muslims and JW's are or are not true is not the point. You could be lying about them also and it would make them neither true or false. You are, however, presenting false information about the LDS church even after you have been told it is false. That certainly brings your veracity into question.

It is funny how other religion say the exact same things but mostly Catholics and JW are at the top of the list!

please explain why the bible contradicts itself?

Ok , maybe the bible will answer your question why you think this:

1Co:2:4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1Co:2:5: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1Co:2:10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1Co:2:11: For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1Co:2:12: Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1Co:2:13: Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Co:2:14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Islam is more true than your contributions to this board.

Then why are you not a muslim or JW??

Yeah, So it is your position that Jesus never chagned? That is easily refuted. Jesus came down and recieved a body. He latter died and resurrected himself. Did Jesus ditch his body at some point? BTW Jesus recieved grace for grace until he was perfect. That is in the bible. That suggests that he has changed.

True but irrelevant.

Yes, do you? My point still stands. Care to try again?

I was talking about God!

But the bible does say something about Jesus if you want to add Him into the topic:

Heb:13:8: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Is English a second language for you or do you always have trouble with comprehension and expressing a coherent thought?

No. I say it because you have not demonstrated any particular understanding of the Bible, and not much less of unique LDS scripture.

As I said, you ignore any contradictory evidence (even if it, too, is from the Bible). And you seem convinced that your interpretation is the only one with any validity.

Doh! Doh!

We already went over this. Doh!

Obviously, Jesus is not the "same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." in all aspects. I used one example of him not always having a body, and now He does. Clearly in that example he is not the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Is there any other concerns you wish to address about this subject?
