"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Gen. 1:1

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:" Deut. 6:4

"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God. Is there a God beside me? yea, [there is] no God; I know not [any]." Isaiah 44:6,8b

.

"And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth. And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light; and there was light." Abraham 4:1,3

These Bible verses say there is one God, while the Book of Abraham says Gods(obviously referring to more than one).

You said that there is no contradiction between the Bible and LDS beliefs and yet I just showed you one. Can you explain away this contradiction?

I suggest a search of the various threads. This has been covered so many times. There is no condratiction. You think there is because of you mis-understanding of the bible.

The Bible also says in Genesis 1:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Us, by the way is plural, as is our. That is in complete accordance with Abraham which also says "Let us go down..." Except that Abraham explains who the us is. So please explain the discrepancy.

As I said you don't understand Mormon theology and preach falsehoods because of it.

Can Muslims say the same and I preach falsehood about their so called true religion?

Probably, if you distort their beliefs like you do ours.

When you try to teach Mormon doctrine you know nothing and to try to teach your ignorance as truth makes you a liar.

So are all Muslims and JW something we don't know about and they are true?

If you say they are not true, then I question who is the liars??

Or, because God the creator of all the universe decided to come to this planet it is a special place.

Why not Mars or juputer they all have some kind of subtance and matter?

So you don't beleive that Jesus (The creator of the Universe) came to this earth to become all that he could be? You know, become the savior of the world through fulfilling the will of the Father? It is funny that you deny specifically what is in teh bible and you claim to teach the true "gospel".

You throw theology under the bus when you try to cut my religion down.

How can He become when He always was and never changes??

God has no beginning and no end!

Do you know what is meant the Alpha and Omega??

The "us" is the Father speaking to the Son.

What happen to the Holy Spirit?

I hope you get an good excuse from our LDS brothers and sisters!:P

You need to read up on your biblical scholarship; researching the Divine Council would be a good place to start.

Is that a LDS answer??:P

So do you accept the Islamic belief to be true, sence you don't distort them, and JW?

I find it humorous that you say that, but have yet to actually do the research necessary to engage in a doctrinal discussion on an equal footing with the general membership. In brief: The current scholarship on the Divine Council is correlating quite nicely to the LDS doctrine without having to wrest the scriptures or misrepresent them to meet certain dogmatic requirements.

You do realize that the Divine Council is contained in the Bible yes? Well... You must have considering your declaration above, or are you getting ahead of yourself?

No, you don't.

Your knowledge of the Bible is sadly lacking. You interpret the Bible, we acknowledge, but your interpretations are eisegesis, not exegesis: you use proof texts, reject any passages that contradict your positions, and deny that anyone but you has any insight into the meaning the original writer was trying to present.

You do not do any better with the Bible than you do with the Book of Mormon and the Koran.

Whether Muslims and JW's are or are not true is not the point. You could be lying about them also and it would make them neither true or false. You are, however, presenting false information about the LDS church even after you have been told it is false. That certainly brings your veracity into question.

No you don't. You have memorized a few proof tests but you have no idea what they mean. The only thing you know is what some one else has told you. you remind me of a trained parrot. "Polly wants a craker, awk."

Islam is more true than your contributions to this board.

First things first. I would like for you to explain the contradiction in my original post and then we can talk about Gen. 1:26.

Yeah, So it is your position that Jesus never chagned? That is easily refuted. Jesus came down and recieved a body. He latter died and resurrected himself. Did Jesus ditch his body at some point? BTW Jesus recieved grace for grace until he was perfect. That is in the bible. That suggests that he has changed.

God has no beginning and no end!

True but irrelevant.

Do you know what is meant the Alpha and Omega??

Yes, do you? My point still stands. Care to try again?

It already has been, whether you care to admit it or not.
