Yep, that's the one. My interplanetary moral double.

But my own computer was still showing me my old avatar of Jabba the Hutt, my diet and exercise partner.

Have you deleted your cookies and signed back on again?

You are back to your moral double again. Yeah.

But I can't see him. It's back to Jabba the Hutt for me.

Bizarre.

I can actually help you with the Jabba the Hutt thing. Ask LOAP, in 4 more weeks he's gonna look like Fabio!

Big UP!

Canaanite my bad, Lamanite

Sounds like you need some healing or laying on of hands to fix that mess.

(yeah, bad joke, I know)

Bizarre.

I logged out and logged in again, now I see Ming, not the Hutt.

I'm pretty confident in the power of the priesthood, I'm alive because of such.

So get off yer high horses you atheists.

There was a man who had terminal cancer. He went into seclusion and meditated and focused all of his positive mental energy for months on the affected area, and when he came out of seclusion several months later, the cancer was gone. My cousin, who has a terminal condition, read about this man, did research, and tried the same thing. He, an atheist mind you, continues to live with this condition and has been here many years longer than doctors originally thought possible. His problem is genetic. There is no cure.

When I was growing up, a friend of mine had the same condition. She received many priesthood blessings and she died when she was 16. Her sister died of the same condition a few years later. When I think about her parents, the last conclusion that I draw would be that God is just. Killing the first born son of an entire race is not very just. Favoring a chosen people over all others is not just.

Either way. The priesthood failed miserably in this situation when, what seems to be a positive attitude and focusing "positive energy" is doing better than anything modern medicine can. The disconnect from your view and reality is plain to see.

Sure, I get it. Healing happens. Remarkable things happen. Is it the priesthood that is doing it? I would like a list of evidence. The problem with what you are presenting in examples from personal experience is that it doesn't have to be the priesthood doing it. The same thing happens with no priesthood involvement all the time. I have plenty of personal experiences, too, when it come to remarkable healing... but the Priesthood was in no way involved.

I am sure many of you understand that, too. So you try to explain it away with God's mysterious plan. That is no good. The laying on of hands cannot be said to be anymore effective than the power of belief in any other person. Think of all of the times that the laying on of hands didn't work. Think of all the times that the laying on of hands was merely for the purpose of lessening the pain. In effectiveness, it is up there with the Patriarchal blessing. At best, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy. At worst, you have virtually the same blessing as the person the day before and the day after you came in.

God isn't performing miracles by replacing limbs. This should be easy compared to bringing people back from the dead... which is done all of the time. Is it God bringing people back? or is it the defibrillator?
