No way will the couch be going. I need it to lay on while I read. Plus I have one of those ultra comfy couches that is almost as wide as a twin bed and really pillowy.

Well, if it's related to reading I guess it can be forgiven. I use the bed for reading.....more comfortable in case I fall asleep.

hahaha....I have been laughing my "you know what" off reading all these wonderfully "human" incidents.

I have two I want to share.....the first one took place in our ward in Texas....it was during Gospel Doctrine class. We were studying the OT...and Sister ? asked the class if we could explain who the Genitals were....when of course she meant to say Gentiles. The whole class just erupted with laughter! Our teacher didn't miss a beat though when she said...."well I have no secrets now...guess you know what was on my mind"!! Oh my gosh!! hahaha! It just goes to show that a person just doesn't want to miss church!

The next one was at home....our six kids and their families were over and were all in the living room just visiting. My wife loves Reeses Pieces candies. She had a bag in the kitchen on the counter and she asked our older son to go in bring her the bag of Reeses penis's. Oh my word!!!! I have never laughed so hard....or tried to get the kids to leave so quick in all my 36 yrs of marriage!!! hahahhaha

Point is....we're all sexual beings. "Most" all of us probably think about sexual related "things" about oh...a gazzillion times a day..give or take. Ok, maybe not that much..but quite a bit. Thats ok. IMO. We just need to make sure we don't cross the "center line" so to speak. "Center line" to be interpreted by each individual, but we have some very clear "rules of the road" given us by the Savior through Prophets and Apostles.

Just my thoughts........now where's the wife?

So logically speaking that must mean you are okay with men doing it.

I gave everything I didn't deem readable again to Goodwill and am nowadays only keeping books that I really like, but even then I think I have 6 book cases. That is plenty isn't it?

Absolutely not. No house is decently decorated until your bookshelves are in double digits (I have only 16 because my husband started to look at me strangely last couple of times I brought some home, my ultimate plan is to follow the Nibley tradition and have bookshelves in every room save the bathroom....of course, in there there will be a few less beloved ones scattered around to grab for tub reading.)

That is a nice poem, very sweet and to the point about how to make a relationship work...I could almost envision myself in the setting....except I don't have a clue what Iowa looks like (lived in Illinois and visited Ohio once or twice, but never made it to Iowa).

When I cleaned up my grandmother's home, I found a huge stash of Barbara Cartland 'potato chip' novels under her bed, you know the kind that people seem to not be able to only read just one once they've started, but aren't exactly nutritious to the mind. From what I saw, these were pretty tame though. She'd been a widow for eons (30 years) and never said anything even close to sexual in my memory (she did flip the outside lights on when I was lazing out on the back lawn with my fiance enjoying the stars one warm summer night, lol). But what was really shocking about the discovery was that she was an English teacher and proud of it and if you've ever cracked the spine of one of those little books, you know it's not exactly 'fine literature' (conveying emotion by using "..." in the dialogue whether the heroine is pausing breathlessly or stumbling over her words in confusion or just trying to speak in the presence of manly men or any of a dozen other situations just doesn't strike me as very creative writing). I actually read a couple when I stayed overnight as I was starved for reading material having read the few books she had out (I guess she had enough of literature during her working years....). It's one of the reasons I started collecting books as a teen for any potential grandchildren, I was going to be sure I had decent stuff if ever I was called upon to provide in similar situations.

It kind of reminds me of the time I went to help clean a little old LDS lady's house and I found a big bottle of brandy hiding behind the pine sol!
