rodheadlee Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 (edited) It seems to me Heavenly Father always answers this group's prayers when I request them. Well I'm going to ask you to pray for a place. It's called Trimmer and it's on Pine Flat Lake. The Garnet fire is nearby and I would really like it if Trimmer didn't burn down or if the forest in the nearby area didn't burn down so it was still beautiful. This used to be our favorite place to go on vacation when we were water skiers. No matter which way the wind blew you could find pure glass to ski on just by going around the corner. It would really be a shame if this place burned up. Pine Flat lake is part of the Kings River system. In fact this entire fire distresses me as it's near the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Thanks ahead of time for your prayers. Edited September 5, 2025 by rodheadlee 3
bluebell Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 Prayers! I served my mission in Northern California along the coast. And it would be purely tragic to lose the trees and natural beauty in some of those locations. Not to mention the toll it takes on the people in the area. 2

Thanks ahead of time for your prayers. I saw that on the news. I was on a vacation last weekend in Bryce Canyon, Utah and there were a lot of people from out of the country. We met the coolest couple and their parents from Paris, France and they were heading to the Sequoias. They had seen a lot of LA, California and Las Vegas and Zion's National Park, I was hoping all would go well for them. The fires are terrible this year, or it feels like so many, and there are so many in my home state. I will keep this in my prayers. Edited September 6, 2025 by Tacenda 2
rodheadlee Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 The fire seems to be holding in place and not really gaining any ground even though it's only 14% contained. Thanks for your prayers I hope it stays that way 2
rodheadlee Posted September 18, 2025 Author Posted September 18, 2025 It's 89% contained and about 60,000 acres have burned. It looks like Pine Flat Lake has been spared. Thanks for your prayers. 3
