  1. "Possible gods and goddesses" doesn't mean humans will literally become divine in the same way as God, but rather that we are destined for a kind of glorified existence that is beyond our current understanding. He uses mythological language ("gods and goddesses") to emphasize the magnitude and splendor of the future glory humans are capable of through grace, not our works.
  2. A foal is a horse with the potential to become a champion. What do you mean by God's nature? What is Heavenly Father's nature before he is born of his heavenly parents?
  3. Isn't a child born to a God by nature a God? In the animal kingdom, does a horse give birth to something with a nature other than a horse?
  4. Does each kingdom have its own first and the last?
  5. I don't think there are Gods that have created their own respective humans on other worlds.
  6. No. I am not a parent. That may disqualify me from commenting sufficiently. I find it hard to weep unless I'm really sorry for hurting someone.
  7. "... and the whole heavens shall weep over them"
  8. How many heavenly New Jerusalems as described in the Book of Revelation, which are separate from the many cities of Enoch, exist?
  9. Does that mean then the Second Coming is particular to our earth only?
  10. Just wondering. I see no reason for weeping for the wicked antediluvians if they apparently get a second chance.
  11. About these two verses in Moses 7. "And thou hast taken Zion to thine own bosom, from all thy creations, from all eternity to all eternity" (v. 31). "And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other" (v. 63). Does this happen before or after the Second Coming? Will all the worlds created by God have their own versions of the city of Enoch coming down from heaven and visiting all their respective New Jerusalems created on their own versions of Americas on their own worlds?
  12. @ZealouslyStriving Thank you for clearing that up teddyaware. But Satan is also the "father" of all the fallen angels. Regardless of which group you refer to, are you weeping over them too?
  13. Are you weeping over Satan and the fallen angels?
  14. If everyone did that, there wouldn't be a need to post questions in a forum 🙂 Why does Alma teach, in the verses I provided, that mortality is the only time to prepare to meet God? Another option would be that those who rejected the gospel in mortality would know of its surety in the spirit world or in the resurrection. I wouldn't put much credence for #2. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus gives some insight. "Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead". There is no reason to preach the gospel to the living when they will have it re-taught to them in the spirit world and then have the ability to make a more well-informed choice as to if they will believe it or not. How does Doctrine and Covenants 138:32 relate to the wicked in Noah's day that Christ preached to in 1 Peter 3:18-20?
  15. Are those who rejected the prophets during their probationary period added to the sons of perdition as per Alma 12:24; 42:4,10, 13; 2 Nephi 2:21?
  16. Based on what you said earlier on August 21 (Verse 12 of of Doctrine and Covenants Section 138 informs us that only those spirits who had proven themselves worthy to receive a glorious resurrection into the fullness of celestial glory were permitted to be gathered together “IN ONE PLACE,” where they would be ministered to personally by the Savior after his death on the cross), this means Christ only visited those who would be exalted to godhood, not to those who would inherit a telestial or terrestrial glory.
  17. If Jesus only visited those who would obtain the fullness of celestial glory then verses 20-22 apply to everyone else in the spirit world. "But unto the wicked he did not go, and among the ungodly and the unrepentant who had defiled themselves while in the flesh, his voice was not raised; Neither did the rebellious who rejected the testimonies and the warnings of the ancient prophets behold his presence, nor look upon his face. Where these were, darkness reigned, but among the righteous there was peace". There is peace only for the elite as you labelled them and the others are in darkness.
  18. What is that particular location referred to as?
  19. After everything mentioned in verses 7-50, I had questions about #51. "These the Lord taught, and gave them power to come forth, after his resurrection from the dead, to enter into his Father's kingdom, there to be crowned with immortality and eternal life". Why are all Old and New Testament saints at the time of Christ's ministry among them raised to the highest division of the Celestial Kingdom and not to other lower parts of the Celestial Kingdom or to the Terrestrial Kingdom? After the resurrection, why do they need to enter the Father's kingdom before being crowned with immortality? Is this more of a ceremonial crowning than their bodies actually being changed to immortality?
  20. Maybe the legal status of the Hong Kong temple lent initial support for when the Shanghai temple was planned, until tariffs came into play.
  21. The Great Commission continues in other churches there.
  22. Christians who worship in underground or home churches are not dishonest nor do they pose a threat to the government. Churches in China are required to register with the government primarily for control, surveillance, and ideological conformity. Unregistered or "underground" churches are technically illegal and can be harassed, shut down, or persecuted. Registering with the government allows churches to operate legally and to hold public services. However, registration also means censorship of teachings. surveillance of church leaders and members, and limits activities like proselytizing, youth ministry, or online evangelism.
  23. Time for the church to go underground like it has for other denominations. https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2025/07/04/lds-branches-shut-down-beijing/
  24. I remember the show. I don't recall Jesus or the gospel being mentioned though. Instead of God, the term "Boss" is used. The focus is more on universal values like kindness, redemption, compassion, and hope. In short, many lanes (religions) on the highway to heaven.
