Patel is also the one who pushed for the picture of the suspect to be released which led to his capture. Image from WaPo or WSJ…too lazy to look it up, -

So, are you saying employers should not hire the most qualified/talented/experienced applicant but instead discriminate for representation? Besides DEI or affirmative action policies, is there a better way to root out hiring biases? Here is the opinion from the Supreme Court case and some of the pitfalls of how these affirmative action policies were deployed. -

That’s why you have to rely on statistics. The crazies exist on the fringes. -

Charlie Kirk would have enjoyed the debate about affirmative action and DEI hiring practices. Both are discriminatory even if they have a ‘greater good’ philosophy around them. Discrimination based on race or gender is illegal. His quote referencing 4 specific black women was in the context of a recent Supreme Court decision. All four had made public statements stating affirmative action helped them. This is the court case. I talked with a hiring manager for a large chip manufacturer who hires engineers. They are given quotes. The quotas don’t match the demographics of the college graduates. He admitted he would hire engineers based on their sex and not hire better qualified candidates. The had the same ‘quota’ system is many industries and even pilot training programs. The office of civil rights is now investigating companies for violating the civil rights of applicant's. Under the current law, these practices are against the law. Harvard got in trouble due to their blatant discrimination against Asians. Please continue debating whether discrimination in hiring and admissions should continue. It definitely has its pros and cons. Maybe universities should be required to higher more conservatives? The stats are such that there seems to be blatant discrimination in university hiring practices due to political idealogy. He did face controversy at the time about the quote. (Some now only care because he’s dead. I still read this as people attempting to justify his murder in some way or an attempt to denigrate him in death. He has 1000’s of hours of video from the last 13 years. I would be be surprised if he didn’t say stupid stuff at times.) He addressed the controversy the next day. So, it is a debate to be had in our country whether DEI or affirmative action hiring practices should continue but at this time, they are clearly against current civil rights laws. His funeral is Sunday. His friends and family and a large portion of the country are in mourning. He was assassinated because instead of using words to debate him someone thought it better to silence him permanently and many cheered and seem to be take glee in his death. I am sad to say I find it very scary the number of people on the left who believe violence is justified. -

I could continue but tried to focus on government pressure. Cancel culture is driven by ‘culture’ and private companies will flee speech that will harm them. What that is sways with public pressure. -

Hate speech laws in other countries are scary. Who defines what it is?
