It is because the fund set up for the shooters family is newsworthy. It is getting tons of press. It was done in good faith and good will and has been highlighted on major news sources. Eyeballs get clicks and more donations. It is sad to say the victims go fund me's have not gotten as much press. I have been linking to the other victims on the news posts highlighting the other go fund me. It really is a case of 'man bites dog' instead of 'dog bites man.' In some ways, this could actually drive more people to the victim funds than otherwise would have seen them too.

My son and daughter in law had their reception in that building. Good friends of mine were members of the ward but were home Sunday zooming the mission farewell taking place in my ward in Colorado. My nephew's wife is very good friends with Brother Hicken, one of the doctors shot and whose child was shot in the back. When you attack a ward, it shows how many ties we have with each other.

I can't find one for Thelma Armstrong. Please link to it if anyone has it. Two resident/doctors from the ward were shot and the medical community has raised over $179,000 for their recovery. One is still in the hospital. Ben Phelps was the 2nd counselor and needs multiple surgeries.

I have seen a lot of people defending us and telling people to knock it off today too. There is hope. Can’t lump everyone into the same bucket. Heard from my friend. She is in shock. There are people missing.

I’ve lived this dichotomy with evangelical Christian’s my entire life. I really enjoyed the music and talk of Christ at Charlie Kirk’s funeral. We would love allies but so many fear us and our doctrine. Even before the shooting, there were posts pleading with those to be kind after President Nelson’s death. Be decent. Not a time for doctrinal disputes. Then the shooting and it continued. I love and appreciate my evangelical/LDS roots but wish more wanted to be friends.

My friends and family are in mourning for those lost. So much heartbreak. The textiles on the walls help spread the fire quickly.
