mfbukowski did you ever look into the Muslim faith in your searching or your journey. I know you've had quite the journey that led you to the LDS church.

Not seriously. I won't go into why.

BUT I did look carefully into Bahai.

It is in many ways similar to we LDS folks.

It alleges a contemporary prophet who is, in some ways, believed to fulfill the "second coming" prophecies, and they are restorationists- they accept both the bible and Quran as scripture, and believe that Mohammed and Jesus and all prophets deliver the same message. 

It is similar to our belief in Dispensations of the gospel, which eventually go wrong, but then God sends another prophet to restore the truth.

I read a book comparing Bahai with the LDS restoration favorably, in fact trying to convert Mormans but that was 46 or 47 years ago, so it's a little foggy.

They are not "Christians" but see Christ as one of the greatest prophets, iirc.

It's that whole Christ Consciousness belief set that many religions follow.

I realize I'm late to the party.  I hope our friend, @Bassil, is OK.  It's one thing to be able to mingle with Muslims in a religiously pluralistic society such as ours.  Where Bassil is?  I'm not quite so sure.
