Bill “Papa” Lee Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 This F5 tornado that remained on the earth for 200 miles, has probably never been matched, and I pray it will never be matched again. So much destruction, so many deaths. From the looks of it, some small towns are gone, and so many people displaced, probably for many months, or even a year or more. I am fervently praying that there is, or there will be, enough Latter-day Saints who can help with this devastation. I only wish I could help, but my age and health makes this impossible, so I will do what I can, send money, and send mighty prayers to (what I hope) a listening God. I will also pray that any who are asked to help by their Bishops, will not view it as an inconvenience, but will answer the call, and for those who do, I will pray that God gives the strength of 10 individuals. I know it may mean that some will have to serve during this Christmas season. But I hope they remember that so many will have no Christmas, and will have to bury some, or many during this time of rejoicing (but not for them), Christmas seems (at least this one) to be an indulgence that has lost it’s joy for, far too many of our fellow beings. May our loving God, inspire us to do all we can, for so many in need. My title reads, “Mormon Helping Hands”. But since the word “Mormon” seems an almost unwelcome word, due to recent changes, I don’t know what the “T-Shirts”, usually given out, will read now. Because, “Latter-day Saint Helpers” seem like a mouthful, or rather an “Eyeful”. I hate being called out so much, for using the word “Mormon”. It is hard to break the habit, after saying “Mormon” for 40 years, while also being told to use it, and be proud of using the word “Mormon”, by so many General Authorities. Anyway, let us all pray for so many who have lost so much. 4

I presume there have been (or will be) new T shirts printed that conform to the name revision That’s OK. The name Mormon was not essential to the program’s title or purpose anyway.
