The only individuals who will be damned to hell forever are those who seek to dethrone God and have not the slightest desire to exercise faith in Christ unto repentance. 

Do you believe in spite of the fact that Saviour Himself speaks of our Heaveny Father and the Holy Ghost as being men that they might turn out to be women?

I do believe that God the Father often refers to a completed God, a sealed couple United and working together. I do refer my prayers to the Father because I have been commanded to do so.

The Holy Ghost may be male but we know so little about him. It has been suggested he is a spirit child of the Father but I have seen nothing substantiating this beyond speculation. It is quite possible he is some other kind of being that has no gender.

It is important to note that the common English translations of the Bible that have the Savior referring to the Holy Ghost as male are very questionable. Greek is a gender inflected language like French. The male pronoun is used because the word used for Comforter is a masculine word. When the Holy Ghost is referred to directly as opposed to using a title like “Comforter” the neuter gender (the equivalent of it instead of he) is used in the Greek.

So yeah, I would not be surprised if the Holy Ghost is male, female, or something else entirely that we have not been taught about. There are more things in heaven and Earth then are dreamt of in our limited theology.

In spite of the teachings of the scriptures, the prophets and apostles of the restoration, and the clear statement in the Family Proclamation that gender, male and female, is a criticality important component of eternal reality, you have  every right to believe the Holy Ghost might  be a genderless spiritual entity of some sort, while I will continue to exercise my right to believe the Holy Ghost is a Holy Spirit of the male gender.

“The Spirit that is on me this morning is the Spirit of the Lord; it is the Holy Ghost, although some of you may not think that the Holy Ghost is ever cheerful. Well, let me tell you, the Holy Ghost is a man; he is one of the sons of our Father and our God; and he is that man that stood next to Jesus Christ, just as I stand by brother Brigham" (Heber C Kimball JD 5:179).

As I pointed out you will be hard pressed to find a scriptural basis for the gender of the Holy Ghost unless you want to argue that biblical translators are directly inspired to declare doctrine. I know apostles have declared him to be male but the most prominent teachers of this recently (Marion G Romney and Joseph Fielding Smith) refer to the bad biblical translation as evidence and do not suggest they know this by revelation. Heber C Kimball (and one other early Apostle but I cannot remember which one) were more direct but apostles who are not the head of the church cannot authoritatively declare doctrine.

In the LDS canon the Holy Ghost is not referred to as “He” in the D&C anywhere I can find and the pronoun is almost conspicuous by its absence and the only evidence the Holy Ghost is male in the Book of Mormon is the possibility Nephi conversed directly with him in a vision but that could also have been an angel communicating via the Holy Ghost as angels are wont to do.
