poptart Posted December 1, 2018 Author Posted December 1, 2018 (edited) So, here's something, what will the likes of the LDS do when this stuff is right at their doorstep like it is in places like LA and Seattle? Utah is slowly being ruined by the influx of new people, sad what's happened to Lehi. White flight isn't much of an option anymore, since many of you not only believe in but also tend to have large families it's the likes of you who will have to worry the most. Can go on about worthiness and other LDS tenants all you like, will do you little good I think. Granted who knows, you may be right, like me the world will be watching. So far Smac and Pogi have made the most sense here, would hope someone in SLC would put them or the likes of them to work. Funny, just stumbled across this, once again Rome and zie Papst to the rescue. http://w2.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/speeches/2018/december/documents/papa-francesco_20181201_conferenza-droga.html On 11/30/2018 at 2:06 PM, smac97 said: That would, I think, be Saint Eustace / Eustathius (Placidas before his baptism)? Ah! The wonders of Google! Thanks, -Smac Nope, St. Hubert. The people who make Jagermeister kinda ripped it off, annoys me to no end I hate the stuff. They sure made cool music about him though. It is not really that people are living shorter lives. I believe deaths from drugs and alcohol accounts for a substantial amount of the increase as well.

Also family disfunction which leads to a lot of this behavior which of course leads to even more family disfunction.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you referencing drug use coming to Utah. Isn't it already here? 13 minutes ago, poptart said: Utah is slowly being ruined by the influx of new people, sad what's happened to Lehi. Not sure what you mean here. Thanks, -Smac Been to Seattle lately? the drug addiction and homelessness situation is catastrophic, they've now canceled things like a huge parmacists convention because of addicts milling about. That and now the fear of disease from the homeless encampments. The city even tried creating a tiny home village to combat it, was shut down in less than a year I think? Pretty sure SLC isn't at that point yet mostly because of the winters they get, give em time. Also, the Lehi bit was something I heard from an LDS friend in WA, he used to own rentals out there and told me how much its changed since the 2000s, it's not a nice small town anymore, it's exploded. also, SLC is now one of if not the fastest growing cities in the nation. Awesome economy, low taxes, fantastic schools and good neibors. People give you guys crap but if I had kids i'd opt for LDS neibors so fast, at least my kids would be safe and i'd be surrounded by things that are child friendly. Sadly, seems like anymore the garbage degenerates see that, swarm in, drive the prices up than change the political landscape, happened to CO. This state used to be so nice until we had the gun hating degenerates from california move in and drive the price of everything up, drug problems too. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame people for fleeing a state that has sky high taxes and really isn't family friendly but it's not cool to go to an area with different political/social beliefs than your own, use your financial clout to drive the costs up then gripe when the deceint people you just alienated do nothing as the druggies from places like montbello (It's the hood) go to your nice white upper class suburbs, sell your kids drugs and shoot the homes up. In the case of SLC and other places you now have upper class IT folk who like the ones in CA and WA love cocaine, gee guess who provides that? Here, found these. Have to admit this sickens me a bit, I remember hearing about the find it fix it app they had, typical entitled Seattleites. https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2018/06/an-app-for-ejecting-the-homeless/563849/ Know much about how the homeless are given one way tickets? I know for a while people had been sending them to Denver and other places, Seattle and San Francisco are now giving homeless people one way tickets back to the cities that sent them out there in the first place. Buddy's mom lives out in Portland, she was saying that last year a ton of Homeless people from Houston were given one way tickets up there, now they're clogging an already strained welfare system that like Seattle keeps wanting to cut back. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2017/dec/20/bussed-out-america-moves-homeless-people-country-study Edited December 2, 2018 by poptart

Wait till the crime goes up from druggies breaking and entering and your property taxes go up for increased police patrols, prosecuting criminals and incarcerating them. Think what would scare me is if your state ends up like mine and starts getting a lot of gun hating liberal folk i'd be worried. I lived in WA state for a bit, they had better gun laws than here once, now they have some of the strictest in the country. Once those kinds of people move in they bring their drugs, degeneracy and socialist garbage with them. Also, it's going to get a lot more dangerous to let your kids out once that happens. Here, this happened in WI not too long ago, child trafficing for sex tourism is a thing. Keep in mind those of us without kids tend not to care considering how US society is nowadays so really it's more of an issue for those of you with families, people like me have no qualms fleeing once taxes get too high. Also, another thing once crime gets bad there goes the property values, yet your property taxes continue to go up. Google Cook County Chicago, they have an exit tax if you try to sell your home. https://fox2now.com/2018/10/22/new-clues-from-911-call-emerge-in-case-of-missing-wisconsin-girl/ Also, I like the countryside, not a fan of crowded cities.
