Theirs was a real love story. Like President Monson and his bride, they met at a University of Utah “hello dance” when they were students at the University of Utah. She was so popular that Russel Ballard had to be persistent to get a date with her.

My wife and I went to conference a year ago, and among all the pastel suited wives on the rostrum I was surprised to see a woman wearing a bright silver coat. It's my understanding it was Sister Ballard. If that really was her, she seemed to walk to the beat of her own drum.
