What is weird is that OBE experiences have nothing to do with lack of oxygen or anything dealing with medical science.  Surely there has to be a way to connect the dots but in my view, there is nor real definition for what happens on any level.  But damn...our spirits know something we can't comprehend.

Researcher P.M.H. Atwater found that about one in seven NDE's include a hellish component, which is resolved in all the cases I can remember.

I am thinking that for the first time ever...it just didn't matter.  They were more than what they looked like..does that make any sense?  They know who they are and see themselves as they are.

I have read over 50 NDE books. One of them states that he seen the gates of heaven where the saints entered one at a time. No two were permitted to enter the gates at the same time. In another NDE book the author told a story about an incident involving Joseph Smith that took place in the mansion house in Nauvoo. It was the same story that my great great grandfather had written in his diary. I now know that the LDS Church is true.

One time while they were sitting at the dinner table in the summer of 1842, the prophet suddenly left the table and went out of the room. No sooner had he left the room and closed the door than an officer came in from another door to arrest him on some flimsy trumped up charge. Joseph walked across the block in full view of another officer without being noticed by either one.  Joseph Smith was a hard worker. Few if any could keep up with him when he was working in the field.

I'm surprised how open people are about their supposed NDEs. I assumed if something like visiting heaven happened, I'd be required to keep it sacred.

Many people come back with a strong sense of having a mission to share a message with humanity.  They may or may not tell everything that happened to them, but imo the rest of us stand to benefit greatly from what they do share.  

Often the message is fairly simple, being some variation on "love your neighbor as yourself" or "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".  And maybe that really is what matters most.  The NDE messages on the subject usually come with a much more profound "why" than what we have heard in church.  For an example thereof, click on the second video in my post on the preceding page.

This is a terrific book... thoughtful, positive, and well researched with widespread citations and footnotes as they conducted their study.

One of the very first books about NDEs is an LDS book called Life Everlasting by Duane by Duane S. Crowther. Published in 1968 it was one of the first books about NDEs. There is a NDE story about an NDE in the Bible which mentions the third heaven.
