I've had many revelatory experiences, and I have only gotten a feeling that it's innapropiate to share them when sharing would seem boastful. I have the feeling that if leaders started sharing more, more would be demanded, and eventually, we'd be expecting more and more explicit recountings of spiritual experiences each General Conference. And if the pace ever slowed, Snuffers would come out of the woodwork claiming that the reduction in spectacular visions proved that the leaders were apostatizing, and they, the Snuffers, would provide. Even the Apostle Paul didn't seem to recount his experience on the road to Damascus very frequently. Unless he was telling it every week, and the recordkeepers got bored and decided to omit it every time. Sure.

Unless these spiritual experiences directly affect the salvation of the members or the leader is instructed to state them publicly, then it is probably best for those experiences to stay private. It is not a part of any calling that when one accepts the calling that they give up their right to private, personal experiences. So as to whether an apostle has seen Christ or not, the answer really is none of my business or anyone else business. Most people would simply use that information to gossip anyway.
