MiserereNobis Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 I'm just checking in with the 'hippies' on the site. Anyone been to one of the shows yet and got a donut? I've only done couch tour for a couple of shows so far, but tonight was pretty sweet (double chocolate! and that "Chocolate Rain" opener and that lovely but incomplete "Chalk Dust Torture"). If this is all cryptic and meaningless to you, move along... I'm speaking the sacred language of jambands to see who comes out of the woodwork (Spammer? You were quite the credible Deadhead).

Robert F. Smith Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 "Deadheads" were (and are) the followers and admirers of the late Jerry Garcia and his The Grateful Dead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CR5iB3ITGIU ("like an angel standin in a shaft of light")

The 'hippie' jamband Phish is playing 13 nights at Madison Square Garden -- the baker's dozen. Each night they have a different flavor of donut that they give to those attending and then they play some songs related to that flavor. Tonight was night 7 and so far no repeats (120 or so different songs played so far). http://www.phish.net Deadheads are fans of the Grateful Dead, the original hippie jamband.

Is that why you chose it? Nice version, by the way. Summer '89 through summer '90 had some smokin' hot shows.

By the way, whenever I see your name and accompanying words, I always recall this beautiful church -- which I used to drive by nearly everyday for about 20 years. I have even been inside, and it is wonderful. Had a nice conversation with a Filipino priest there. 1

I adore her immensely and love her various names, titles, and apparitions, like the one you shared: "Mary, Star of the Sea"

I love me some good donuts, but I've done enough Phish road trips, and probably would not travel to New York when so many other incredible talents bring their road trips to me in Utah What site do you couch tour at? I just enjoyed a Punch Brothers show on Tuesday up at Deer Valley in Park City. I'm With Her opened the show and intermittently jammed with Punch Brothers throughout the show with no intermission. I was grinning the whole show. I'm With Her played this nice cover of Crossing Muddy Waters by John Hiatt:
