Duncan Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 (edited) Imagine my surprise when I was eating breakfast and I saw an article written by Robert Norman of the Mormon Leak variety, http://ldsmag.com/lesson-17-the-law-of-tithing-and-the-law-of-the-fast/ I thought he was out of the Church? which doesn't make his opinions invalid necessarily but it's interesting they would have an article by him. I thought he is supposed to be preparing for Christ's return, where does he find the time to write an article on tithing, I'll never know Edited April 19, 2017 by Duncan

Calm Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Family name perhaps? Robert Norman is not an uncommon name and J can be John, Jack, James, Jacob, etc so is probably one of the more common middle initials.
Calm Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 This guy is probably the writer: https://rsc.byu.edu/authors/norman-robert-j
Calm Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I just realized you were talking about the guy listed as one of the factors causing problems for church members. Could be that guy, maybe they aren't paying attention or it could be an old article. 1
Calm Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 It is a repeat of a 2010 article: http://ldsmag.com/2010/11/ 1

Calm Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 He is not on the columnist page, so wouldn't be surprised if they knew and just missed this because it was a repeat.
