Undercover officers and agents must deceive, and lives are certainly at stake. You are probably thinking only of the usual little white lies that a husband tells his wife to placate her, or similar non-existential situations. 1

My response was that if it was, it would invalidate the prophetic ministry of many prophets and including the Saviour and Son of God himself. There are many instances wherein the Saviour misled individuals in order to obscure His mission, nature, teachings, or activities from those who doubted or disbelieved him. 2
