RevTestament Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Robert, I think we will just have to disagree. I don't really care if you believe me or not. Believe scripture. I have shown you what that "blood sacrifice" is about. It is them bud - not animals. You cannot follow where I go. You are trying to peer into the holy of Holies from the court of the Gentiles. Jer 33:16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, JWHW our righteousness. Now you say you read Hebrew. What do those letters mean individually?

At which there will be real blood sacrifice by the Levites?... He didn't deny the prophecies of *blood* sacrifice. On the contrary. He did simply clarify that *animal* sacrifice is not what was foretold. Capiche? (Consider what NT teaches...etc.) Robert, more importantly, please remove the strident tone/feelings. You owe Rev a sincere apology. As much as I respect you and your scholarship, Rev is on point here. Edited February 20, 2017 by notHagoth7 2

My most pressing writing project is one whose aim is to reunite the sons of Abraham...with the intent to end most/much of the endless enmity/distrust/bickering between Christian, Jewish, and Muslim peoples. A bridge, if you will. Remains to be seen how many opt to cross. (And as to your comment about my heritage/genes, tens of thousands of men, women, and children share similar genes.) Everybody, everywhere has a fascinating family history. Because everyone is a child of God. Can't wait for the family reunion. OK I retract the compliment if that makes you happier. Quote ...because the hills are where many sheep are grazing..and where others are temporarily lost. One can function as a Levite bishop beyond the modern LDS paradigm. I happen to be a son of Levi (and of Joseph...). I have no idea what any of this means then. Edited February 21, 2017 by mfbukowski

No need to retract. I just needed to clarify. We all need to be cautious about taking undue pride in our roots. Can distract us from bearing fruit that lasts.

It simply means I am both of Levi, and of Joseph....and likely a Heinz 57 mutt mixture of other Israelites and Gentiles... as many people are. But the first 2 ingredients, as a descendant of Abraham, mean it is my duty/calling/privilege to try to benefit my fellow man. As the Christmas Carol teaches, mankind *is* my business. The same goes for every one of you out there...whether you are a literal or adopted descendant of Abraham. Edited February 21, 2017 by notHagoth7

Robert clearly is stuck in a different interpretation of scripture than myself unless I managed to open his eyes any. He is entitled to his interpretation as long as he is respectful about it, I am not going to lose any skin over it. I really am rather used to it - especially since I read scripture differently than every other LDS I have ever encountered(and for that matter every Christian). I rather enjoy reading Robert, and he offers much good scholarship which I am thankful for. He is a faithful follower, even if I disagree with him from time to time - the latter is true for everyone else I encounter. Like others on this board I hope to count Robert as my friend. 1
