I would sure hate for Jesus' atonement to make me something I am not in mortal life.  It just makes for so much confusion in this life that I will somehow be "perfected" in the afterlife.  I think you are on to something big here....you do sense my sarcasm here, yes?

This entire life is about becoming one with God; we don't see him and yet we follow after him.  Are we supposed to set aside wisdom because this is topic on gender?  We have become blind in our search for political correctness and to be accepted by the world.

We have people asking for Church revelation on women receiving priesthood office by ordination. Asking for a yea or nay on ssm. And for whether eternal gender can be other than male or female; and whether sexual orientation is an eternal premortal, mortal and post-mortal characteristic.

Why aren’t they getting answers from the Holy Ghost, suited to their personal needs? If they did, they wouldn’t be asking it of the Brethren. When the motive for asking is tied to the politics of power and gain (which is sometimes disguised by the beguilers or unrecognized by the duped as political correctness), or of changing the covenants, and not to the welfare of Zion, they won’t get an answer for themselves or from the Brethren.

We are taught not to consume our questions on our lusts, or in other words coveting that which is not lawful (James 4:3). There was something to be learned of Israel lusting after the quails.

Actually I'll bet a lot of them have done that and have come to a place of peace about their own unique situation. The others need to have more faith in their ability to do the same.

Yes, I'm referring to those who are asking for the Brethren to receive the revelation for everyone else, as if they haven't faith in their own prayers and insight, or underestimate the faith of those for whom they are advocating. It's a responsibility-shifting approach to address a political or social position rather than minister to the individual through the principles of the Gospel.
